The Arts Learning Team will help you develop a capacity building arts integration model for your whole school tailored to the needs of your students, teachers and parents.
During the course of your Arts Learning Team Residency, the Arts Learning Team:
- Evaluates how arts integration can help you
- Close the gap between high- and low-performing students
- Engage all students in learning
- Rekindle teacher enthusiasm
- Nurture greater collegiality between all staff members
- Stimulate parent involvement
- Generate community partnerships
- Change your school’s culture,
- Leads your teachers through a series of professional development experiences and co-teaching situations that will inspire them and give them the tools and the confidence to adopt standards-based arts integration strategies in their classrooms,
- Develops rubrics, assessment instruments and reflective questions to help your teachers assess the impact of their arts integration strategies on student learning and their own practice,
- Creates effective advocacy and communication avenues with your parents relating to the potential of arts integration to effect successful school reform,
- Provides the materials for process and outcome evaluations in your school, and
- Formulates a program logic model that will help you meet your continuing arts integration objectives.
